Transmission Leak?

I was driving my 02 Honda Accord Automatic on the Highway. Everything was fine, no
noises or warning signs that something was wrong. Then all of a sudden my car switched
to Neutral and so I switched it to D3 which is lower than the normal Drive. It drove and so I
found a spot to pull over and checked under the hood. It looked like transmission fluid had
sprayed the passengers side of the engine as there was liquid on the top of the engine
area and there was leaking fluid below the engine. When they towed it to a shop there
was fluid that was leaking all over the tow truck and it looked like it had even sprayed to
the back end of the car as well. They have it now and are looking at it, I was just
wondering what I could expect when I get a call from them tomorrow. Thanks for you help

transmission is on the left, so i think it might be power steering fluid not transmission fluid. as far as the fluid spraying to the back of the car, thats what happens when you drive with a leak. liquid is falling and with the wind/ speed of the car said liquid is forced back... make sense?

Turns out the transmission was busted and wouldn't switch into gear at all. New transmission and 2700 out of my pocket
