how to find coolant leak on ford van 4.6L
-ford E 150 with 4.6L V8. COOLANT LEAK on front of engine but cant locate
-does not overheat, wont hold coolant in reservoir. hoses are good. leaks
more when engine is not running
-hat could this be????
you will need to pressure test it, that's a easy test and will give you all your answers
Probably a water pump, but you should have it pressure tested to actually track down that leak.
that makes sense... ive been told that it could be the water pump gaskets? or to check the fan bearings for looseness because the fan and pump are attached. should the fan pulley move any cuz mine does
Definitely the water pump. There is a weep hole under the bearing that allows fluid to come threw to let you know the seal and sometimes the bearing are bad.
