Cant get over 15 MPH!

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

At work, we have a 2001 Ford E-250 van. We were driving it one day and it ran good till
about half way through the day and then it got to where it wouldnt go over 15 mph. we
have checked vacuum hoses and replaced a few bad ones and it didnt fix it. You can rev
up the engine and after a few seconds it bogs way down. We just had a new exhaust put
on it. Could there be a problem with that or is there something else I can check?

Try unbolting the exhaust just before the catalytic converter. If it's plugged, it will rob all of your power. Unbolt the exhaust before the cat and let it hang, if you have the power back, you will know that your cat is plugged.
