CAN JUMP STARTING A LARGER VEHICLE WITH MY CIVIC CAUSE PROBLEMS WITH THE BATTERY AN COMPUTER
It shouldn't, unless the batteries were marginal to begin with 2002 is 'bout due as once they get older than five become unreliable and cook the livin' hell out of the alternator trying to charge up a battery that ain't takin' the charge~
I agree with judge. Also as long as the jumper cables are hooked up correctly to both vehicles.
there is a thing about having proper system ground from the 1/0 cable to the frame/chassis----unless this connection is Solid, we will have ECU problems~
the thing about cold-cranking amps is the Amperage wants to WELD stuff, the connections to ground, the connections to the starter...this power thinks in terms of amperages not voltages, if the big starter is driven by the little battery can only weld with the amperages involved~...does this help?
