my car leaks oil bad around the head gasket underneath the distributor and I replace the vtec gasket and the rubber oring on the distributor to

Chances are really good that the head torque wasn't rechecked at it's first 10K check, this happened to me and my engine only had 11K when it went bye bye. So to answer your question yes it can.
