can I tow my 1998 automatic honda civic on all 4 wheels behind my motor home
I have had people who tow say we can.. the people who put on the bar to tow said we can with the added brake. Some say No.. Some say not over 60 mph.. Some say No brake needed if less than 3000 lbs... Please .. Can I tow it or am I forced to do the car dolly.
If it's a front wheel drive use a tow dolly. If rear wheel drive remove the drive shaft. Towing any kind of distance, especially at highway speeds with the drive wheels on the ground, rolling, and connected to the transmission will overheat and damage the transmission. Even with the transmission in neutral. As far as the brakes if your motor home is rated 5,000 pounds or higher towing capacity you should be ok. Your Honda probably weighs about half that. HTH. -Jim
