Oil Pressure Light ON
Oil Pressure light turns ON, if I drive at high rpm (3rd gear, 60-70 mph). But if I
stop and shut the ignition OFF and start car immediately the light goes OFF.
might have a bad gasket.
i would put a gauge on it make sure you are getting oil pressure i would say it is the sending unit
what did you find on your car
Actually, few months back, I replaced head gasket and after few hundred miles the oil pressure light would come ON randomly. I thought it might be pressure sensor switch. So I replaced the oil pressure sensor switch. The light still kept coming ON, I replaced the oil filter and also checked the oil pressure and it ranges from 10-85 psi depending on idle to very high rpm (but this test was done when engine was cold). Please note: There is no milky engine oil or low coolant or any blue/white smoke. Engine temperature gauge also stays in the normal range. ================== Thanks a lot for helpful replies to all of you :) ==================
