Asked by Oct 09, 2016 at 02:47 PM about the 2004 Honda Civic LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

ECU was throwing P0336 -CKP
Intermitent. Car would start easily into
Limp Mode. Replaced CKP sensor, cleared
ECU. Would not start. Kept cranking for
about 6 seconds engine light comes in and
starts into Limp Mode. ECU throws P-0336

Tested. Have 12v on pin1, ground on Pin2
and 1400ohms 0v on pin3 with key off.
With key on same except get 5v on pin3.
Tested CKP sensor by hand cranking
engine- get 5v pulses every few degrees
with a long pulse every rotation.
Tested pin 7 on ECU connector - no shirt
to ground on blue wire or open to

Everything checks out... what next? Should
I replace ECU at this point?
