Headlights not working on low beams

Asked by CassidyMullins Mar 16, 2019 at 11:57 AM about the 2004 Honda Accord LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Randomly one day my low beams weren't working, despite
me just changing the bulbs. Checked out the bulbs and
they were fine. I then checked the relays, which also looked
normal but I went as far as replacing the whole fuse box
after reading online it could be in the secured part of the
fuse box. We replaced it and it didn't help at all, same issue
where the fog and high beams worked but not the low
beams. I don't want to blind people while driving but
because my job gets out after dark, I have no choice but to
drive with my brights on. I've already had people honk at
me, try to drive me off the road, and block the road and try
to start a physical fight. I really just want to get this fixed
but I have no clue where to start!

Note the diagram, see those fuses, at top of diagram, four fuses, hi and lo beams, right and left side. Check voltage on those fuses, use a test light. Headlamp switch on, lo beam, at the lo beam fuse. You might try putting lo beam bulb in hi beam socket, if it will fit, just until you get it fixed. Might keep you from road rage? Don't touch bulb with bare fingers. There might be some applicable codes for your problem, the codes I saw were B type codes. To check codes yourself, at the least you need an obd 2 code reader that will work with your vehicle and read manufacturer specific codes. Maybe your headlamp/dimmer switch is faulty? I hate to see you replace parts and it not fix it.
