New Honda odyssey purchased yesterday. Noticed that the cover to the shift lock release slotis missing. Could it be that someone tampered with vehicle?

Maybe the battery died at the dealership and someone wanted to move the car by pushing it? Something to take up with your salesman.

Quite possible... I really do not want any problems with them about replacing the slot cover. I like the van but have discovered that the remote and wireless headphones are also missing! Did not expect this with a new car with less than 40 miles on it.

Overlooked where you said it was missing. I would take it back. Did you buy this less than 30 days ago? If so, lemon laws mean you can return it. If you're over 30 days, just make a lot of complaints until they replace those items. The squeaky wheel gets the grease!
