AC clutch replacement? Buy the whole clutch or just replace whats bad?

2001 it would be best to replace the clutch assembly, just because of the age and wear and tear on the friction plates, and the coils do have a bit of a problem shorting out or go open circuit after a while.

Great... Thank You! My truck has just under 200000 miles on it, but I happen to be that kind of guy that sweeps it out whenever a piece of dirt falls to the carpet!! And it is a Red Style Side that still looks awesome at 14 years old.
