Can I replace 205 60 r16 tires with 205 50 r16 on a 2005 Honda accord.
Why? I always stick with the recommended size.
The results of this calculator are based on the mathematical equations of the sizes entered, not the actual tire specs provided by the tire manufacturers. Please refer to the guides supplied by manufacturers for exact specifications. Not for use with high flotation sizes, i.e. 31x10.50R-15. size is being run now 205 /60 R- 16 compared to 205 /50 R- 16 If your speedometer reads: 65 You're going approximately: 60.92 mph Here is a link for you: http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.do
You asked why. 4 bridgestone snow tires on 5 bolt alloy rims for $350. That's why
Diameter difference between the two sizes is -6.28% and it's not recommend to go plus or minus 3% . So I would say no.
Thanks. Great comment
