My AWD display of my tires traction

Asked by Mar 09, 2016 at 12:35 AM about the 2016 Subaru Forester 2.0XT Premium

Question type: General

My new Subaru I am noticing that my display with all the cars functions by
toggling the paddle of
the different functions i.e. RPMs etc.

The one I keep on the display is the one that shows all 4 tires trim
illuminated bright green while
driving.
When I begin driving one day the 2 left front and rear tires have them bright
illuminated green and
other times showing all 4 tires bright green.
Then another day or after a while parked all tires show full illumination.

I then took my car to the dealer and there was no error. This is so strange
as driving to the dealer
the 2 left tires was showing the bright green circles and when I picked up
my car after they did all
of their checks I got in my car and sure enough all 4 tires now are showing
green while driving out
of the dealer.
The car has less than 120 miles.
Does anybody have an answer please.
Thank you,
Newsanno

That system is making adjustments at a minimum of 60 times a second, that is too fast for the human eye too see while driving so the programming is just doing an average of what is happening, it is possible that you ran through something on the road that changed the signals or it was a glitch is the display, this really sounds like a piece of frivolity on Subuarus part, if they really wanted you to see the system work it should be rated in percent of power per wheel not just a light. However if it keeps doing it stay right on them about it, don't let up or you will never get it fixed, Subuaru seems to be falling back in customer satisfaction here lately.

Thank you for the explanation and I surely will take your advise and next time I take it back to have the tires checked for power percentage. Thank you, new sanno
