Does moisture get in oil if you don’t drive a lot

Asked by Guru681B9 Mar 29, 2020 at 08:56 AM about the 2016 Ford C-Max Energi SEL FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Is it true if a car is not driven a lot that
moisture gets in the oil particularly within three
months off an oil change

1 Answer

You can get condensation inside the engine especially in wet and humid climates. It is best to drive the car several miles to fully warm up the engine on a regular basis. Short trips are not good for your engine.
