Battery charged won't crank or make noise. 1992 GMC suburban 1500 4 whl drive

check that you have 12 volts going to the main cable on the starter, if you do, have some one hold the key in the start/crank position then get a test light and see if the smaller wire on the starter lights up the light. If it lights up you need a starter.
