Bought a new 2016 MX-5 Club and it had no jack, lug wrench, tie down/tow hooks, or the tool to remove the tie down/tow hook bumper cutout covers. What gives?

Tell the dealer he owes you that stuff.

Does it have a spare tire? Many vehicle now days don't. If it has no spare (and doesn't come with one) then the dealer doesn't owe you anything, but a tire inflation kit. According to www.tirerack.com this car does not come with run flat tires.

The MX-5 never came with a spare tire, nor run flats. So why do you think they should include a Jack and lug wrench? Manufacturers are trying to lighten the vehicles for more MPG.

My 2007 had a little kit that attached to the back of the boot area. It included a pump that could refill the tire as well as a can of fix-a-flat. It DI come with run flat tires. I never had to use any of it, the package was intact. The dealer does owe you that device, If I remember correctly, there is a jack located under the floor of the boot.

I'm most concerned about having a set of the tow hooks, in case, and the lug wrench should be in the car, how else can I check tightness of the lugs. I have tools to do almost anything but a lug wrench should be included. Come on Mazda, let's not be so cheap as to shortchange me on 2 hooks and a lug wrench....

Pick up a lug wrench and tow hooks at Harbor Freight, around $20.
