Why my radio won't come on

Check the radio fuse. If it isn't that, then check for a bad ground to the radio

So I went to put a new xd player n my 2002 gmx Jimmy so I cut the wires to the radio n put a new one n but once I did my speedometer n the RPM's don't work. So I put the old radio back in n now my radio won't turn on either. What do I do
