2001 Ford Mustang expected insurance

Asked by Aug 01, 2015 at 05:47 PM about the 2001 Ford Mustang Base

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I have been browsing through cars and I came across a 2001 Ford Mustang Base
Model
and i was wondering how much should i expect to pay. I'm currently 17 years old, a
male,
live in south Texas (outskirts or Austin) and i have taken a certified driver's course
(which
I heard gives you a small discount) and would anyone know if I would qualify for a
good student discount(heard it was called something like that) as i currently attend
classes for both high school and college. And what other options would I have for
being
insured?

Contact a few companies to get some free quotes. You will qualify for some discounts as you mentioned, but depending on the car you drive and what coverage, state you live in, city, etc. Of course it will be cheaper on your parents policy, but you can get converge on your own, just will be more. At least $1000K a year with min. coverage with a 4dr sedan beater is my guess.
