I have a 94 yukon 5.7 it starts once and dies shortly. It turns over but does not start. I can hear fuel pump run but does not get gaas to throttle body after first start ? Does it have fuel filter besides the one in fuel tank? Or any other ideas ?
Fuel filter should be under the drivers door bolted to the back of the frame. Is your security light flashing after the truck dies?
If the filter is that bad then the pump is ruined and will need to be replaced also.
Thank you , its been sitting since april and ran great when I parked it.
My truck ran like crap in gear with a bad pump and a guy on here a few weeks ago had a bad pump and the truck would only idle crappy in park.

Yea mine don't even idle, I just dread dropping tank I put in a composite when I shaved bumper and getting at rear strap bolts is gonna be chaiienging. Plus its winter . I should be driving a 4x4 not laying under it .
Yea hopefully your tank is low on gas. If not you could get a pump to pump it out once you remove the filler neck.
Thanks a lot for info and feed back John . I appreciate your time and experience. Time to get to it.
Good luck with it
So I changed filter and is definitely better , it starts and restarts but only idles for 1-3 mins than gasps and kills. Unlike before throttle body is getting fuel
I would say the pump went bad due to the clogged filter
