Emergency brake

When I slip a little in snow or on wet leaves the
emergency brake engages. Is this normal

Terminology error not a single manufacture has an emergency brake, they are called parking brakes, and if your is slipping even slightly have it checked, might just be an adjustment issue, sometimes cables stretch and that will throw the adjustment off just a little.
