1994 Suburban - New Engine?

I have a 1994 chev suburban with 420000 klm on the original engine. There is some rust
around the front wheel wells and rust on the front above the windshield. Is it worth it to
drop a new engine in? This is our third Suburban over the last 25 years. Love them :)

If you love it, throw a new/reman'd/used engine in and when you get time, fix the rust.

In my opinion I would say no it is not worth a new engine, a 21 year old rig with the problems you mentioned as well as being a Suburban, not exactly pristine condition to warrant spending a lot of money on. Once rust get a foot hold like that, the damage is usually deeper than visible. Of course the choice is always yours.
