Is it worth taking out the 2016 ford explorer radio & replacing it with the pioneer radio?

Since the 2016 ford explorer does not come with car play and my iPhone 6 is
not compatible with sync 3 car play I want to get the pioneer avic 8200 nex
and plus that radio can play dvds. So I'm wondering will it be worth taking out
the factory radio and which functions would i lose if i do.

Talk with the place that you are going to have this done, there are so many interfaces these days that can make factory controls work with aftermarket systems it is really hard to say with a vehicle that new.
