Car slightly jerks when sitting still or accelerating

Asked by Terrica Aug 30, 2018 at 11:01 AM about the 2015 Dodge Charger SE RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2015 Dodge Charger SE jerks a little bit when I’m
sitting at a light or accelerating. I’ve changed the spark
plugs and had an oil change. I treated the gas when I filled
up and it still jerks.

Take it to an auto parts place and have it scanned free for fault codes and write them down. Ask them to explain or Google those four digit numbers to see what it is. You might notice a check engine light is on. That means a fault has been stored for you to check it out.

I have a 2015 Dodge Charger Rallye pack and mine does the same exact thing. And I just recently had to get the head replaced on this car at a 125000 miles and I keep up with all of my oil changes.

Mine turned out to be a coil pack that was bad and if it’s ticking you probably have a bad rocker arm. They all have recalls on them for the 3.6
