GMC Yukon no crank
I have a 1995 GMC Yukon. Recently I noticed the clock would reset when I started it.
Then one day I had no crank just starter click. I checked the cables and sure enough the
positive was loose, I tightened it and all was good for some time. Last week the problem
returned this time the cable was really not that loose but a little tweet with the wrench and
it fired right up. This happened a few times since. Tonight all I could get was starter click.
The battery seemed fine and it would not take a jump. I replaced the starter and the
battery now I get no crank. Nothing the lights dim when I turn the key but that's it. Any
Sounds like you need new battery cables. Since you've already been having to tighten up the positive (+) cable several times, that's where I'd look first. Before you bolt the new cables to the battery, put some Vaseline on the terminals. They'll never corrode again. HTH. -Jim
