I have a 95 gmc sonoma change the fuel
and relays and the pump still not pushing
gas out the tank threw the lines but its
coming on. Dont understand this one do i
need to change the pump housing the truck
has been sitting for about 3 or 4 years
Did you check the connector hose and pulsator when you replaced the pump? Of course it is possible that you got a bad pump, it does happen.
Did you mean you changed the fuel or changed the fuel pump. If still the old pump and if tank is rusty and dirty the filter sock on the pump could be plugged up. Did you change the fuel filter. If you had the lines off make sure the lines didn't get switched around. You may hear the pump but it may be too weak to pump, I would also check and make sure the box hasn't sagged and crushed the fuel line up on top of the tank. Not likely but possible. I also agree with first answer.
I have a 1999 gmc sonoma and when I turn key on and not start it gas gage moves back and forth and can't tell when I'm out of gas
