5.4L enginge swap

Asked by Jeff Jun 13, 2019 at 12:15 AM about the 2001 Ford Excursion Limited

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Can I swap a 2001 for excursion 5.4L Triton out with a 2009 expedition 5.4L
Triton?  The excursion engine has given me nothing but problems.  The
expedition I purchased new and haven't had a problem yet.  Both have about
the same amount of miles 120,000.

1 Answer

Those are different engines. The 2009 is 3 valve and the 2001 is 2 valve engine.
