I read in the manuel that you can pull the door handle once to unlock, and a second time to open. Can anybody tell me how to disable this feature?
I'm sure that you can only do this if one of your key fobs is close by. Try this. Leave your key fob in the house and try to open the door. I bet it doesn't open. The computer "knows" when you and the key fob are close by by the signal transmitted from the key fob. HTH. - Jim
Unfortunately no, last night my 2 year old opened the door going down the highway. After pulling to the side and shutting the door, locking it, we started to drive. At 60mph I tried it myself. Pulled once it unlocked, pulled a second time and it opened. I could not find in the manuel how to disable it.
I see. I'm sorry, I misunderstood your question. Check around the edge of the doors for a switch or lever. Look in the owner's manual again under "child security locks". HTH. - Jim
Thank you for your help, after searching through the manuel I found a switch located on the driver door that might be the solution to my problem.
You're welcome. Glad to help. Awesome! Glad you found it! Thanks for letting us know. - Jim
