i have a 01 esape turning the key wont turn over the engine and wont shift out of park please help

Have you checked to see if you have 12 Volts at the battery, are the connections cleaned or loose. If you have 12 volts at the battery then you may have a bad stater

I Found and fixed problem it was the transmission position switch
