How can I repair a tensioner on ford Escape?

the tensioner on my ford escape is making noise how can stop the noise

You can replace the pulley or the whole tensioner. You remove the passenger side plastic inner wheel well for access. You release the tension with a socket wrench, the longer the better. Then unbolt the old , bolt the new on.
