You can't, it is basically a sealed unit, you can replace the fuel pump assembly after the tank is removed, that's it.

On the Escape, there is an access panel under the driver side rear seat pad to access the fuel pump, no need to drop the tank on this model.

Where to open the tank ,for ford escape ,2006 model thank

You just pull the door open where the lip is on the door, there are no levers or buttons.
