I don't know what this light that just came on in my 2001 Ford escape XLT means
Can you post a picture? -Jim
Is that the check engine light?
I know the seat belt one lol but the one above it that's on
That appears to be your check engine light. Will need to check your owners manual to be sure.

That's the check engine light. It's telling you that a problem has been detected by the engine's computer. We'll need to get the trouble code(s) to pinpoint what's going on. Have the computer scanned and post the trouble codes here. Advance and Autozone auto parts stores will do it for free. HTH. -Jim
Thank you guys for helping me I'll head over to the Autozone once they open.
Autozone did the check it said misfire in cylinder 3 and they gave me some motor treatment
http://www.obd-codes.com/p0303 --- if that does not help it out then check out this link for other possible causes and solutions.
Ok cool. That's trouble code P0303. If you've got over 100,000 miles on your Escape you're due for a tune up. Could be a worn out spark plug or worn out spark plug wire. HTH. -Jim
Yes I needed a tune up it needed spark plugs, coil, valve cover well that's what the mechanic said.. Thank You All For Your Help
You're welcome glad to help. -Jim
