2015 chevy cruze

I have a 2015 chevy cruze and i just tried to start it and the battery is dead and
now i cant get the key out of the ignition, how do i get it out?

I had a Cobalt with that problem, don't know if it's the same but under steering column there was a little hidden compartment, that you popped off and there was like a release button in there
