2015 chevy van oil pressure goes up and down

while driving the oil pressure goes up and down between 40 psi while driving
and around 25 psi while idling is this normal

Lower oil pressure at idle is normal. It should be still under warranty, so maybe run it by the dealership and have them look it over. Might give you some peace of mind.

also just change the oil and filter and go up 10 weight with the oil.shoul be fine then

Always run the oil grade the manufacturer recommends.

It sounds normal to me. The oil pressure will fluctuate as you drive. When you accelerate the engine RPMs go up so the oil pump is pumping faster. The pressure increases. When at idle the engine RPMs are lower so the oil pump is pumping slower and the pressure goes down some. HTH. -Jim
