Gmc 1500 vortec engine issue

How do you know if your psiton is going out
or if you have a blown head gasket? My
truck is rattling like something is loose but
we cant find out where its coming from just
replaced the head gaskets and all seals and
spark plugs.

If it wasn't making any noise before doing the head gasket. There might be something in one of the cylinders. A nut, bolt, or some other debris that could have fallen into the engine. Could also be misadjusted lifters, or lifters that have not yet pumped up all the way. could also be bad base ignition timing. Engine noises are very tough to diagnose without being able to hear them. There are just too many things it could be.
