Can not correcting the recall on a battery cord effect the TCM PCM being damaged
I own a 2004 BMW 5 Series which had a recall on the battery cord needing to
be adjusted. The recall was in 2012 Could not taking care of this issue result
in damaging the TCM PCM system?
What do you mean by TCM PCM
A LOOSENING OF THE BOLT CONNECTION. AS IT LOOSENS, AN INCREASE IN ELECTRICAL RESISTANCE AT THIS CABLE CONNECTION IS POSSIBLE AND COULD CAUSE THE CABLE CONNECTION TO OVERHEAT. I never write in all upper case that is pasted, it's just a hold-down bolt and BMW being the superior car company it is issued a voluntarily recall to tighten a single bolt. So in my opinion the answer to your question is no.
Oohh I see. Cut and pasted again POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM, PCM)
Yes this recall does not include our VIN though. We have had a lot of power issues
How long is the computer system usually last?
For the life of the car. The ECU/PCM -- computer - rarely fails
