Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi peps!
For if i have replaced a new Radiator on my BMW, does it requires me to replace the water in/out flows pipes too?? The apparent reason is said to be "old pipes won't handle the presure from the new Radiator" is thus bein real??

The cooling system will build up the same amount of pressure, just because of a new radiator doesn't mean it will build up more pressure. But since your are there the upper and lower radiator hoses should be changed out because eventually you will be doing it anyway.

Make sure and purge the cooling system from air after refilling it with coolant, or you could have a overheating problem and no heat from your heater, (heater core). If there are a lot of miles on this it wouldn't hurt to change out the thermostat also, since you would be right there with the system drained down.
