I have a 2002 Ford Thunderbird with 93k miles. Just recently I have experienced a hard shift between 1st & 2nd Gear. It does it sporadically(Maybe once or twice a day). Can it be low on transmission fluid or is there some other problem it could be? It shifts properly about 99% of the time.

My T-Bird has 93k miles on it. Within the last few days I have experienced a shifting problem when accelerating. It does it only once or twice a day. When it shifts it hesitates then jerks into gear. Has this been a common problem of the 2002 T-Bird? Should I take it to a transmission shop and have them test it?

Yes fluid is the first thing I would check and then the modulator valve.

I have a 97 Thunderbird, When I turn on the car it will turn and there seems to be a screeching sound. And then it won't turn on. However it will turn on after I turn the key 2-4 times. Once it's on it runs awesome, it's just the start up that sounds bad. The starter has already been replaced so I don't think that's the problem, but again I'm not a mechanic so I can't say for sure.
