Will Snow Tires Help me?
I drive a 911 and it's my only car presently. I recently ordered an Audi to be my
winter car. But I just read in an email that my car won't arrive until after the
new year. Will a set of snow tires for my Carrera S suffice to get me around on
most days when it's cold? I live in SE Michigan. We don't get a ton of snow,
but it does pile up from time to time.
I'd call off vacation, sick or get a ride on the snow days before I put snow tires on a 911. Or, for the price of snow tires and rims, you can get a $800-100 beater car and sell it in the spring.
I agree, no snow tires on a 911. You should be able to afford a junker to drive this winter.
This is one of those questions that just don't look real- you have a new Porsche and you are waiting for a new, I guess ordered, Audi? And you think you have PROBLEMS?! omg
No, dude, there is NOTHING that can help you-
There are snow tires for the 991 and it is reasonably good in the snow, but do you really want to submit a $100k car to driving in salted icy roads? Why don't you just buy a cheap 4WD like a 2006 Subaru and use that on the ice?
