Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When my 2015 Ford Expedition sits outside in high temps (90+) and is then started the AC blows for 3 - 5 seconds and then shuts off. The AC will come back on in 30 seconds to 3 minutes and blow cold air.

Also.could have air in your a.c. instead of gas aka Freon. Mine would kick on while.driv8ng sometimes and shut off when stopped and blow hot well warm because compressor shuts it's self off 9nce Freon gets below a certain point and mine would say was full but when we pulled it out there was only 1.4 oz of Freon inn it so had to fill it back up had it done professionally at an oil change place and if didn't fix it was no charge I didn't think it would but it did and normally it's 4 cans to fill up but if you have extras like back seat or passenger side temperature control it will need probably one more can because it needs more due to that. This may not be your issue at all but could help someone else who reads this post.
