No electrical power to any system.

Asked by Oct 27, 2014 at 10:55 PM about the 1988 Jeep Comanche STD 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The truck is a 4.0 l. w auto transmission. I tried to start the truck within a minute of
coming home and turning it off.  The engine would not turn over and nothing else that
required electricity worked either; lights, horn, gauges nothing.  The battery is fully
charged.  The positive battery cable to the starter relay looks good and there are no
obvious burned wires.  The fusible links at the starter relay appear good

Double check your terminals connections, both the post and the clamps should be shiney clean, none of that black corrosion. If no luck there then you have a major voltage drop out on the main circuits, grab your voltmeter and start testing..

Check all ground wires.
