I would thin the RDX would be a great vehicle with a proven reliability record. Go to www.tirerack.com or similar site to get tire pricing. The RDX should not cost much more to maintain than a Toyota or Honda. Repairs will be more expensive since it is an Acura. The RDX will be nothing like a BMW to service or repair.

Look the tires up and see what they cost. The repair and maintenance costs will probably be lower than a BMW but similar to a Lexus.

2008 Acura RDX - I spend about $750 on tires (all 4 because of AWD) and they last me usually 55,000-60,000 miles. With proper tire rotations every 4-5,000 miles, tires should last a good amount of time. Oil change is performed by myself and costs me a total of: $27 oil (full synthetic), $8 oil filter. Power steering fluid change is very easy (check out youtube), and so is air filter & cabin air filter change. Acura dealership will charge you premium pricing because it is the luxury brand, but Honda dealership can do the same for much cheaper (have to check with your local dealers). Car has 140,000 miles and still running very strong.
