surges on throttle

I have a 86 suburban with a 350 109k on engine. maybe 5k on tranny. replaced the distributor and now it idles fine and and revs fine sitting still but under load anything past half throttle it surges and bogs down and almost dies.

Does this have a carburetor or a TBI set-up on this. I'm thinking some sort of a fuel issue.
