i'm looking at buying a 2015 BMX x3. The dealer has a 2015 model with 5,800 miles on it that has been used by a sales person. How much of a discount should the dealer take because it was being driven. They seem to be taking $4,000 off of MSRP, but about $1,000 off of the KBB price
Usually for a car that is being driven for test drives in my experience, under a certain milage, there is no discount, but if you can get one at a discount, then great.
If it is being driven and has miles on it .it is conceded a used car , Yes it should be discounted
Regardless of price, be careful! Dealers will show you a current year model with some mileage, yet when it comes time to finance hit you with the used car rate. My brother went to buy a new car with the teaser of new car interest rate; bought one at a slight discount because it had 6k miles, dealer nailed him with higher 'used' car interest rate.
