1990 Ford LTD Crown Victoria radio problems

Asked by Jul 02, 2017 at 08:04 PM about the 1989 Ford Crown Victoria Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1990 Ford LTD Crown Victoria with an
aftermarket stereo installed.  It's not brand new,
about 10 years old now, and nothing really special,
just a generic stereo. Anyway, yesterday I had it on
and running a CD.  Suddenly, it cut out making a
popping sound.  Now it with spit out the CD, but
that's it.  Also, the power antenna doesn't work now
too. It was working before.  I wondered if it was the
stereo itself, but with the antenna not working, I'm
thinking it may be different.  I did replace the 15
about fuse today as it was blown, but nothing has
changed.  Could anyone shed some light on this?
