interior cab lights

Asked by Nov 30, 2014 at 01:59 PM about the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD LT Double Cab LB 4WD

Question type: Car Customization

I have a 2015 Silveraldo 2500HD.   I am looking to add some Led lights under the front
doors that will illuminate the running boards when the door is opened. I have looked for
the door switch  or possibly adding a momentary switch for these lights but not to
successful for switch location

Does anyone know where I can find the switch or where I can pick up the wire I need
to come off existing lights without taken all the interior panels off or the least amount
as possible

Thanks for any info

Most likely it's a micro switch that is attached to the latch assembly. When the latch unhooks the door the switch is activated. Since this is a brand new truck I'd recommend having your local Chevy Dealer handle this. You don't want to void your new vehicle warranty! HTH. -Jim
