2015 suburban LTZ with autorode
I have a 2015 Suburban LTZ that has electronic ride
control. Front shocks need replaced. I'm just
wonder if they can be replaced with standard
shocks vs the 600$ electronic shock?
I'm really having a hard time believing that your shocks are already shot after only 2 years of service, was a complete diagnostic performed on the ride control unit?
Also, depending on your mileage, you should probably be still under warranty. Let your Chevy Dealer fix it for free. HTH. -Jim
Left hand shock has been leaking since we got it, bought used. It has 70k miles on it now. I have not done any diagnosing with it yet. Thing rides like an old grain truck in the front....just need to know if I can swap out the electronic shocks for standards and not screw with the rest of the system
Can't seem to find a lot of information on this new of a system, but it looks like you can't. There are some aftermarket units that might save you some bucks so your not stuck with dealer prices.
Check out rockauto.com. You'll need to know your suspension code but the shocks look pretty reasonably priced. HTH. -Jim
Thanks I will check it out
You're welcome. Glad to help. -Jim
