Cold Air system for 2014 Hyundai Accent SE 1.6L

Asked by Jul 20, 2015 at 12:36 PM about the 2014 Hyundai Accent SE 4-Door Hatchback FWD

Question type: Car Customization

First no one sells a system for my Accent. Going to change OEM spark plugs and install a set of Pulstar Pulse Plug with PlasmaCore. I looked at my air intake system and there's an intake from carb to air box/filter with 2 curves. Then from the air box 1 curve down towards bottom of engine compartment. Big questions. Could I fabricate an intake from large diameter PVC pipe with only 1 curve going down and then attach a K&N filter at the end? I'd also cover PVC pipe with installation.  Would this help with gas mileage and horse power?

On an Accent? It will not help with HP or Mileage, only maybe more air noise. Save your money. Also those other plugs won't get you anything either besides a lighter wallet. Save up for a car with a bigger engine in the meantime.
