my honda over heats if I'm not moving. and the fans don't work

Yep do not keep running it hot as the head will warp blowing the head gasket, need to check you fans, run a jumper from battery to fan to see if it works, you can do this by removing the radiator fan relay switch and jumping a wire to (possibly on most the 2 of the right contact points) or you can hookup a wire from your radiator fan directly to your battery contact points., if not replace, they are turned on from the computer and One or more of the following can be faulty: * radiator fan, * radiator relay switch, * radiator fan fuse, * radiator relay switch fuse, * engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor.

Also turn on A/C to see if fan comes on as this is a direct link to the fan and turns fan on when A/C is turned on.

You could directly connect the fans to the battery with 2 fest wires and if the fan runs then it is something else. Some PCMs run the fans. Yes non working fans will make it overheat
