Transmission on my 2005 Acura MDX just failed. Dealer is asking for $6000 to replace transmission. Car only has 102K miles on it. Is it worth replacing transmission or buying a new car?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car transmission failed with only 102,000 miles on it. Dealer is asking for $6000 to
replace transmission. This is the second time I have had transmission problem. I first
time was not total failure but transmission had to be flushed as fluid leaked into
transmission. Is it even worth repairing when total value of car is around $7000 for a fair
condition?

It has 102,000 miles... for what reason would it need a transmission replacement? This is not a dodge, it's an ACURA. Check your solenoids and maybe to a flush!(for the future people that read this)
