Why won't right brake light work?

Asked by Dick Feb 23, 2021 at 07:02 PM about the 2014 Ford F-150 STX SuperCrew 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2014 Ford F150. I tried to replace
my tail lights with aftermarket LED lights.
After installation, the left one worked
perfectly, but the right on only worked
with the marker lights. Turn signals and
brake light on the right side didn't work.
Switched back to the original lights and
have the same problem. Any
suggestions?

Use a multi meter to check for power at the outlet. You could have a damaged or corroded socket or damaged wires.

I checked sockets and wires. Have run back to the fuse box and have power there. Went to the power distribution box and the left side relay is pulling in but the right side relay isn't. Suggestions?

computer control box under dash can control each side brake & flasher lights(wrong bulb size can cause it to reset) so it needs to be set back to proper setting. May affect window also. (not sure about window)
